Future Lions Light Up Leedy!

Wednesday, April 25, 2018 - 9:50 PM

On Wednesday 18th April Leederville Oval once again played host to the Subiaco District Holiday Clinic. The oval cam to life with up to 75 Subiaco District participants who were lucky enough to receive some expert training from some of the Subiaco FC’s finest players. The day consisted of 6 skills stations and games where the kids got to showcase their skills and get some tips on how to improve their football ability from some of the Lion’s superstars.

Subiaco District’s Community Development Officer Jesse Tippet had this to say. “It was a great day for all involved and great to see so many kids having a blast and showing off their skills. I was particularly impressed with the mini games at the end, I think we have some real up and coming footballers in our District that will become future Subiaco FC superstars.”

The Subiaco Football Club are very excited to have 75 new juniors added to their membership base. The Club’s Corporate partners and sponsorship manager Cameron Palmer commented, “We are very excited to welcome our 75 new members to our club. We hope they get down to as many games as possible to watch their favourite Lions players, and really get involved in our great club. The Subiaco FC prides itself on supporting our District’s up and coming superstars and hope to see as many of them as possible at future events such as these, as well as one day representing our club in the WAFL.”

The District looks forward to seeing even more District participants attend the Holiday clinic in July, which will be held at Carine Open Space in the July school holidays on Monday 2nd July and will feature a special visit from the West Coast Eagles squad. Registrations for this will open up in the coming weeks via the Lions District website, so keep your eyes open so you don’t miss your opportunity to take part in the event.
